What Is Deliverance - Continued
By: Rev. E. I. Osborne, Sr. Founder - Deliverance Revival Tabernacle
- 6 - Go to church. The bible says "Do not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;..." (Hebrews 10:25) Where the word of God is preached there is faith because "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17) In God's house there is joy, love, compassion, peace and kindness...His presence is there.
- 7 - Obey God. Our God is a jealous God and a consuming fire. (Exodus 20:5) He heals you so you can glorify Him...not to glorify the devil. Did not Jesus say to the man who was healed at the pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda (John 5:3-14) "Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." And Jesus told the woman caught in adultery (John 8:11) "go and sin no more." Obey God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in every phase of your life.
Even in our giving of our substance...paying tithes and giving love offerings; obey God. Can a man (or woman) rob God and expect God to heal him? (Please read Malachi 3:8) Remember, "God is not a man that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said and shall not He do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19) Reminder: Since Divine Healing is the children's bread (Matthew 15:26), be sure to surrender your life to Christ before you ask to partake of His healing power. Time may be taken with a limited number of people to demonstrate certain healings. This, of course, cannot be done with all and is not necessary. The object is to build faith in the audience so that healing may be received through the touch or in mass. (Note that this was the method Jesus used in His ministry...see Mark 6:55-56). Continue to believe God's word. Keep praising Him. After you are healed, serve the Lord with all your heart. Remember the admonitions Jesus gave in Luke 11:24-26 and John 5:14. Attend a good Full Gospel Church which cooperates in such meetings as these.
